Help! Overheated my boat...

Recommended Posts

MalibuSKca

Sorry last Post the Topic got garbled... big thumbs..

Got the boat working after replacing fluids etc... Forgot to open the main valve to allow water into the engine...

Anyways had it running in the water this morning idling and noticed water spraying into the engine compartment.

The exhaust elbows where the rubber meets the fiberglass elbows to the back were leaking water seems the fiberglass was weakend took them off and wondering where you can get these or easiest way to mold my own, as can fiberglass them back onto the existing pieces only the 90 degree piece needs replaced...

This is on a 90 Malibu F3 5.7liter engine. any suggestions welcomed.

Could one use PVC elbows with rubber collars? or is this too hot?

Thanks

Fix it the right way, don't rig it. You make a mistake and now it's time to pay.
