Replacement for KD 7000 / CR7 / CDX

Want to buy.

Not sure what the replacements are for these ski models. I am looking for my son who is currently on a KD7000 and looking for something a little bigger. He is 5'7", 115lbs and growing like a weed. His style is suited to the skis listed above but I have not found much in the way of new or used 65".

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Steve

My 16 year ( 5'9'' 150#) slaloms on a HO Nitro. I initially bought it for myself but it was a little too " fast " for me. I like the HO CDX for its forgiveness and skiability.

Have you checked ski-it-again? Here's a 65" D3 Tightline which would be similar to those listed above. There are a few other 65's as well. Last I checked Wiley's still had some 65" brand new CDX's for $550.00.

If he likes and skis well on KD skis (7000 or CR7), you can look for a D3 ski (Kidder's latest company...).There's a bunch on ski it again, including a 2006 65.5 X5.

Water ski world is also having close outs.

If you do buy used, make sure it's not too used, and ideally find a way to demo it (even if used) before making your purchase.

Checked Wileys yesterday and the smallest CDX they had was 67". As for the D3, will take a look. I have checked Ski-it-Again but wasn't finding much. I have posted a question to one seller but haven't heard back.

Thanks,

Steve
