longer hose?

Recommended Posts

1994 echelon 350. the connection from the water intake to the raw water pump is about 16" long with a sea strainer in the middle.this does not allow me enough flex to remove it from the back of the raw water pump.does anyone see a problem with using a 6'-8' length of rigid hose a make a loop so as to have enough flex in the hose to remove it from the pump without removing the pump from the engine?

" = inches.... '= feet. Did you mean 6-8 feet as you have typed. I can't see that being good but my eyes aren't the best.

I don't think you would need 6-8 feet to make a loop, more like 3 feet.

the V-drives have about 4 or 5 feet of hose before the impeller and they do just fine.
