Planning on Anchor buddy and Sandspike, but interested in advice on generic/all round anchor...one that will get-er-done, but not weigh a ton and consume lots of space. Thanks

What type of bottom surface do you anchor on? Mud, sand, rock,...? Lake or river?

Mostly mud/sand (try to avoid the rock thing) and usually on a lake. Thanks.

We have had good luck with the digger anchor with the sand spike and anchor buddy.

Does the anchor buddy prevent the "jerk" on the line that would release the digger flukes? thanks.

Yes.gif The Anchor Buddy is basically a huge bungee cord that stretches to let you pull the boat in to shore for loading with the added benefit of the bungee action letting the boat rise and dip with wave action without pulling the anchor loose.

Is storage a problem with the "digger" versus a box anchor? Thanks

I don't know about the box anchor, but storage isn't a problem with the digger. I have limited space in my 206, but the digger fits nicely in a small part of the bow compartment. Also, I have never had any problem with it releasing until I wanted it to release using it with the anchor buddy.
