Perko Switch

Hello everyone,

I installed a perko switch in my boat,

battery #1 terminal goes to the starting/engine battery,

battery #2 terminal goes to the 2 batteries for my stereo.

So is this correct,

when the engine is running, I switch to ALL,

when engine is off and stereo on do I switch to 1 position or 2 position,

After re-starting engine I switch back to all....... correct

Thanks

One battery should be your starter battery and the other your DEEP CYCLE ( for running Stereo,amps...) You can put it on "ALL"during the day for charging but we allways connect our batteries up to a charger while sitting for the week . Also it good to keep it on #1 or #2 so incase you drain yoou have the other to get you started again. Don't drain the STARTER battery like you would and could on the DEEP CYCLE battery ( thier designed to drain and recharge) Do research on both batteries ,you'll learn a lot. I wish i kept that link to give to you. Good luck! George A.
