Engine Faults

Hey crew, took the new boat out on the water for the second time this season, and got our second engine fault. It says that it is an active engine fault. It reads that we have a misfire in cylinder 1. We did what the dealer told us to do, and it is now inactive. Is there any way to erase the engine fault once it is inactive without going to the dealer? Has anyone else had problems like this before? Thanks in advance..

Why do you want to delete (erase) it? Does it show up on a display or something? Leaving the fault code stored in the ECM's memory is a good history on the motor if you ever have more problems. It could help a tech in the future.

My family said they wanted to erase it, no reason really. It shows up when you run a diagnostics check.

some codes will erase after 5 key turn on and offs, some erase after 10 key cycles. others erase after x number of times the engine warms up to 160 and then cools down. some erase after you disc the battery, but then on an 2008 model you would have to reprogram the wedge.
