Cleaning Boat Cover

Again this year I parked the boat under the power wires until my lift gets in the water and again this year the birds POOPED all over the cover. ( Probably will park there again next year as I can't remember much of yesterday let alone what happend last year.) Anyway, what works best to wash the cover and not remove the waterproofing? Thanks!

I just use a good detergent - either dish or car - with a deck brush for good agitation.

I've found just water and a scrub brush gets it pretty well. I usually spot clean, though since I cover it when it's on the lift and store it in my garage in the off season.
