STE Exhaust Tips

I'm thinking about adding the STE exhaust tips to my 2007 VLX to quite down the exhaust while surfing. I'm having a hard time getting them from my dealer. Apparently they are no longer offered as an option from the factory. Is this true?

No.gif I do know that they are an option from the factory. However, they may not sell them as add-ons Dontknow.gif Try the search function, there is lots of discussion on here about where people are buying them.

If I understand correctly, it is NOT as easy as swapping out the tips if you have the stock flappers. You need to fill old holes, redrill, and get to where the exhaust hose hits the transom inside the boat. (easier in a v-drive?)

If you simply want it quieter, you can purchase inline silencers and install in the exhaust hose.

What's the dealer's name and number? I'd like to get some too!

Sounds like an easy fix... but I am wondering if or how much it will effect hp.

The STE tips made a huge difference on my VLX compared to the straight stainless tips it came with. Much quieter at idle, surfspeed and wakeboard speed.

Dealer:

Badger Marine

Nekoosa, WI

715-886-3308

Ask for Dale.
