Engine Help!!!!

Recommended Posts

So I'm changing my impeller today and I go to bump the engine and nothing. Guages come on normally, 12.3 volts from batteries, checked the lanyard and nothing. It won't do anything. I have no idea what's up and need some ideas for things to check.

Don't mean to be a smart A$$ but are you sure it's in neutral, it happened to me once on the lake and if you are try moving the shifter back and forth and see what that does. If not you may have a loose wire!!

Found out what the problem was. Apparently when I removed the air filter to clean it I bumped the gear linkage and now it's dissconnected at the transmission. So yes it was in gear, but not at the throttle lever. Does anyone know how to re-attach the gear linkage?

You put the cable back on the lever and make sure it doesn't fall off Tongue.gif

I was going to say It probably has something to do with the stereo, and all the audio equipment would need to be removed before your boat will start.

Quit teasing me bigD, I've got way to much time wrapped up into that thing. I'm still not done with it, hopefully this weekend and I will post pics afterwards. I'm taking her out for the maiden voyage this year on Sunday or Monday. Just tying up loose ends now.
