I can see it now, a Malibu brand on the bottom of your girl freind

These look sharp though, no doubt about it.

Actually, it may read something more like... udilam Whistling.gif

So they'll go back to the drawing board - shorter ( 12" long ?? ) x 1 3/4" wide x 1/4" to 3/16" tall x sharper grooving & change the fonts) - patterns are going to be modified per comments made - THANK YOU.

( Still thinking highbond 3M tape & silicone - no screw holes required )

I'll get back after further mock-ups are done.

We can talk about more parts at very affordable pocket change - my largest cost impact after production would be finishing

SFD, Those are smoothy! I would finally have something aluminum/SS looking that matched my SS cupholders! (Echelons didn't come with any SS). I'm in for a couple.

Finish: Polished would look good.

Pattern: As is, or Arctic Slalom's 2nd or 4th pic.

Size: I really like the size you made. One long stretch so people can't miss. But if shorter, then they could potentially replace OEM steps.

Great idea.

6061-T6 aluminum shouldn't get too hot as it's not a good conductor of heat. We used that material on our tower lights with a PIAA halogen bulb and they didn't heat up hardly at all.

I'm interested, I'll go polished followed by a chemical polish that we do here at work. It creates an oxide that should hold abrasive wise for about two years depending on how hard you are on them, after that I can recoat them at no cost to myself unless I have another job at that point :) . If you go colored anodize they may hold up for corrosion but if they wear out in a certain location you'll see the difference in color, may not look at that great. Stainless Steel would be ideal, but I'm sure would cost much more

PRICE for Stainless? Aluminum?

PM me.

Thanks

Tony
