Boat Lift

I am planning on keeping my boat at a marina going forward and plan to buy a lift to keep it out of the water when not in use. The marina is a wholesaler for Hydro Hoist. I have a '02 wakesetter XTi 23" with a titan tower. Specs say the boat wighs 3300lbs empty with 43 gal tank. I fugure 3650lbs plus tower and junk. I'm thinking of buying a 4400lb lift for $5,100 installed plus tax. Any thoughts or advice on any of this. Thanks.

I have a front mount GalvaLift thats rated at 4500 lbs that I bought in 2001.

It has no problem lifting my 23LSV even with some ballast and people.

I have a Summit 4400# Hydraulic lift for my '06 21' Sunscape. It says it is 3500# dry. If I could do it over, I would get a bigger lift. It is a pretty big strain about half way up. With my normal gear & fuel I am probably at 4000-4100# most of the time.

Cantilever or Vertical? I prefer vertical myself.

Vertical I think. It utilizes bladders. Anyone have any ideas on price? Thanks for all the input.

I paid $3500 for mine and it was 1 mnth old installed in a slip but no boat ever on it. Paid another $500 to have it moved to my slip in the same marina.

Go with a 6,000 lb lift and you'll be set for life- even if you get a 247 at some point. My 4400lb struggled a bit with a vlx on it. 3500 lbs empty, but don't know if that includes full tank of fuel, and if you get 6 adults on it, you've gone over unless you let them off on the dock. Big fan of overdoing lift capacity vs hoping the lift is underrated for its true capacity.
