Escape v drive gear ratio?

I have a 2000 Escape LSV With the Hammer Head 365 hp engine. Does anyone know what the gear ratio is in the transmission/v drive (I believe this would be the same thing correct?)

The transmission and v-drive unit are actually two separate components in your boat. Even since the first v-drive in '95, I believe Malibu has used a 1.5:1 gear reduction in the v-drive unit. It may not have started at the very beginning, but your 2000 definitely has that ratio in the v-drive.

Skicrave, Thanks for the info. So would you happen to know what the transmission gear ratio is as well? I'm asking because I'm trying to buy a new prop and Eric at OJ asked me what the gear ratio the transmission is. I'm assuming he meant the v-drive, but I'm covering my bases. Thanks!

All Malibu transmissions are 1:1, so the net ratio on direct drive boats is 1:1, on v-drive boats it's 1.5:1.

Only difference being on the 8.1L, it's different with that power plant. I believe the ratio is 1.2:1.
