i am looking at both of these boats as options for my furtue ride. i will be using the boat for primarily wakebarding...... no skiing. i was wondering which would be a better choice. also is the hull deeper on the sunsetter? i ask because i am a bit concerned that the response might sit too low in the water, and i was wondering if the sunsetter would be the same way?

Sunsetter all the way, it sits on the same hull as the current v-ride and i-ride and can throw an excellent wake when properly weighted.

i would go with the sunsetter the responce is a hard core ski boat with a awesome wake for skiing. the responce with the wedge has a ok wake for boarding but the sunsetter will have a lot better wake for boarding just don't ski off it. one thing i wish i would have done before buying my used boat was to look at the transmission cooler for any signs of small pieces of rubber from a blown impeller if theres rubber in there the boat was probably overheated (stay away don't buy it) chances are if the old owner leaves chunks of rubber in there the boat probably didn't have the smartest owner and the boat was abused

so is the hull acually deeper?

Design-wise, no, but practically, I would guess so. They are both on SV23 hull, but sunsetter is wider and longer (hence heavier), so it probably sits deeper, but whether the increased running surface compensates enough for the added weight, I don't know for sure. But there is no doubt that the sunsetter has a better wakeboard wake.
