heater cold

Recommended Posts

Why in the world is my heater cold at idle? I have to be moving at least 20 mph for it to warm up. Any suggestions? Whistling.gif

Do you have a low RPM Y adapter installed?

try a search :).

curt, lots of info on this known issue, as mentioned above. You may have a "Y" fitting in your raw water line, installed from the factory. (1) Be sure the fork of the Y faces against the direction of water flow and the base of the Y faces with the water flow. (2) If this fitting is installed after the impeller, moving it to before the impeller will help with low RPM heat. (3) If you don't have the fitting, get one and install as above.
