Perco switch setting when charging the batteries?

Can anybody that uses the perko switch with dual batteries tell me what setting the switch should be on when charging the batteries. I turned the switch off in the winter but now I'm charging the batteries to get ready for the spring. (the batteries are in the boat) The three setting are off, on and combine batteries. Does it matter? In normal use, the setting should be in the on postion? What about the combine batteries position, when would I use this position? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :thankyou:

ALL will charge both batteries. When you turn the boat off to and listen to the stereo for a long time turn it to ON. This is assuming you have the 2 position Perko according to your post.

Thanks for the info! Do you happen to know what the combine battery setting is used for?

It combines both batteries so they will charge at the same time.

it directs the common (charge / starter lead) to both batteries instead of isolating them.
