complete steering unit needed 1991 f3 skier

Recommended Posts

Has any one here installed a complete steering unit for a '91 F3 skier? I would like to install one with a tilt helm. Any reccomendations? I have been looking at a few different models but not sure whch is best suited for this boat: Teleflex Saf-T-QC but this unit states it is for V8 with power assist. I cant find a unit that is for inboard, V8, manual with no assist. I did find NFB(no feed back)4.2 with tilt: states it is for outboards with no power assist. Thank You, Jason

I replaced my tilt helm and got the parts from Malibu. The only suggestion I can offer is to reinforce the bolt holes in the dash. I used some fender washers. You could also cut a piece of aluminum and use it as a big washer on the backside. It really firms up the helm.
