Illusion X ones swing pretty far, I would say 160 degrees min.

The first locking point is at approximately 120 degrees. From there you can push the release button again, and rotate them all of the way in until they make contact with the tower.

That wouldn't be a good thing to do if you had some rollers coming at you.

No, no it wouldn't, which is why they lock before they get to that point. You have to push the release button again to get them to rotate all of the way into the tower, and even then, that's only another 5 degrees or so of rotation. That will get the rack completely inside the outside edge of the tower for storage or tight clearance situations though (which is why we built in that ability).
