Teak Swim Platform Cover?

Anyone ever heard of anything like this?

Teak Swim Platform Cover.

My boat cover does not cover my platform, but I was thinking of either finding something that would work or making something myself. I have a friend that does Canopies and Canvases etc. I could have her make something for me, but I was wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before.

I've searched around the web, but have found nothing so far, so I figured I would come to the #1 source here.

I know a platform cover was an option in 2005 from Malibu. I don't know if it still is but I would think so. Not sure if it was okay for trailering or not.

I think you can get them from screamin sacs

They make a tower speaker cover that is pretty popular around here. If you search the crew for that company you can find out a lot more about the construction of there work and the materials they use.

We had one of these for our old boat years ago(made by mom FREE!)

It actually helps quite a bit if your boat sits outside all day.

Make sure that there is something to tie it down. Ours blew off during a storm once.

That is what I will probably do. Have a friend in the canvas/awning business. Thumbup.gif

You can also try this place

Both speakersox and screaminsacs can make you any cover you looking for. For me it just depends on what material you want to use.

Also for the Crew Supporters check out the crew discount area Thumbup.gif

I'm heading into my 3rd summer with the teak platform cover. It keps doing the job. Velcro keeps it secure.

There are enough air gaps in the platform so that when the boat rides up and down on small waves, the cover fluffs itself up and down, providing some ventilation. No mildew. No need for the golf balls or half noodles.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Since I added the cover, I only need to give the platform a single coating of teak oil all summer.

Got her done. Here's a pic. Sorry I forgot to post this a while back. The canvas guy went with Sunbrella material.
