Last year PerfectPass removed the option to change the boat speed in slalom mode by 1 mph increments. At the time they told me that it was because they were memory starved on their boards and had to pull it from the code to make room for more important stuff. However, when they re-ordered boards they would have plenty of memory to add it back.

In their new 6.5 there are a few new features, like storing skier names and default speed. However, the 1 mph increments are still missing.

Am I alone in wanting to sneak up on the proper speed or a new line length when getting ready for the season, or wanting to train at a bit faster speed prior to an event.

I know you can trick it into giving you the 1 mph cushion, but try explaining it to a non technical driver, or worse my wife who resists driving unless absolutely necessary. Their menu system is a whole neither topic.

Don't get me wrong, I love skiing with the PP, but get frustrated when things disappear in software for no apparent good reason. Remember the days when we had no speed control? They were deemed "marriage savers" when they first came out. Now we are arguing about how to use it...

we just go to RPM mode. i do wish they had it back in though. i have thought about taking the lower speeds and setting them to the increments to trick it, like you said.

I definitely use and you're right, it's easier than having to play with weight/rpms to trick it. another reason why I'm holding my SLXI classic for a long time!

Thats why I haven't upgraded yet. I'm still running v. 6.3
