New Digital Switches in the '08 line

All,

So I got a mouthful from my dealer, but I forget now...

I know the new Digital LCD switches are reconfigurable, but the HOW to do this is not covered in the '08 manual. Crazy.gif

Anyone have any concise tips/instructions? Dontknow.gif

Thanks!!

you would have to have the software and an interface between a windows base computer and switch panel unpluged from the boat to change the wording or to add a fuction in a blank spot. I think only the merced plant has the software.

Your dealer should have a manual from sales/service training that they can copy for you. It shows you how to bring up various functions that are hidden if you add anything and also how to change the display. You cannot change wording without the software as mentioned above.

The info shows how to change, add, or delete icons that are already programmed into the MUX. But how would you add an accessory and wire it into the unit? I haven't crawled under the dash much so far, but IIRC it has a big multi-plug.

if you pop the cap off the unit there are labelled slide terminals. Slide the accessory on, program the mux and you are set.
