Identify this plug please

I need help identifying this plug that hangs down from under the dash. The wires go down under the floor and back towards the engine compartment but I don't see them coming out anyplace. The boat had PP Cruise which I think has been upgraded to speed sensing instead of RPM, It has a paddle wheel on the hull. Is this plug part of the upgrade for that? I have included a few pics to hopefully help. Thanks for any info.

Well, I have the same boat as you and I've never seen anything like that. So it has to be related to one of your add-ons. I don't have PP though. Let's hope it's not for a fish finder. Cable looks too big for a depth finder transducer. Does the PP work correctly?

does your boat have a seperate Depth Sounder (not Fish Finder). My boat has a Lowrance Depth Sound (seperate guage, NOT part of the main gauges), and it looks like that connector, although its hard to tell.

It's not PP, all the PP connectors are flathead connectors.

Yes, it has a separate depth gauge in the same location as the PP gauge on the other side of the dash. The depth gauge does work. Ill have to check the back of the radio for the same cable, it sounds like thats probably it. Thanks

Well I chased the cables coming off the plug and found this ( image ) under the drivers side air scoop on the dash and another on the under side of the hull. These look to be some sort of sensor to me, most likely a temp. sensor or possibly some sort of timing sensor? Has anyone seen these on their boat? Thanks for any info.

That's a temp sensor, the one under the boat is for water temp and the other is for air temp. Should be connected to a Lowrance gauge. My SLXi had two of them, one was a depth finder the other was water temp, air temp, volts, etc.

Thanks, I thought they were temp sensors. Someone must have taken the temp gauge out to install the PP gauge, thats were mine is located. Thats just one more reason to upgrade to the newer gauge and programing for PP I guess. Know where I can pick up the Lowrance gauge.

This site pulls through again! Thanks guys for all the info.
