Motor Box Insulation - Retainers

Hey crew

Can someone that has done the motor box sound insulation tell me where to find the retainers (or similar) that are shown in the pictures (http://www.themalibucrew.com/forums/index.php?autocom=custom&page=soundinsulation)? I like the finishing cap on the anchor that gives it a clean look. Questions: Are they really needed? Advice on where they can be purchased.

I'm using the Adhesive backed sound insulation material from McMaster Carr and would like to use these anchors/retainers for that little bit extra security.

Any help from those that have done this mod?

I've never seen them anywhere other than in the kit that came from Overtons, but that doesn't mean that they aren't available from a place such as a fastener company (maybe Fastenal). I'm not sure that they're necessary, but I do agree that they give you a little more assurance.

I can't speak to the clips but I put the adhesive backed material from McMaster Carr on in the spring this year. I just peeled it and stuck it on and it has held up extremely well. I don't know how it will hold up over the long haul but the adhesive seems very strong. In my opinion nothing else should be needed.
