power wedge on RLXi

I took a Response LXi for a test drive last week and it did not have it installed. I ended up buying the same boat but with a power wedge, now I am thinking what ( if any ) effect does the power wedge have on the shape of the wake when it is not engaged?

The main use of this boat will be skiing, but I was thinking that having "some" wake for boarding will be nice.

It might be too late, but since I will get the boat only when summer shows up here in 6 months the question will probably kill me

So if there is some one out there who knows the answer it will be great.

Thanks

I really dont think the wedge will even touch the water when you are at ski speeds, the only thing i could think of is the extra weight on the back of the boat.

I can clearly see my wedge totally out of the water when skiing. Although its not a power wedge, I would imagine it is the exact same for yours.

Mine is a power wedge on the LXi Response. It is visible under the platform, and totally out of the water when skiing.

When boarding, and especially when surfing, it helps to shape the wake and make it bigger.

You'll be glad you got it, enjoy!
