Removing Fat Sac Hard Tanks

I had some fittings on my 250lb hard tanks break. In order to replace them I pulled them out and just for fun put a buddies two 540lb sacs in the back. The wake was big but very peaky. He is trying to talk me into replacing my hard tanks and plumbing in the pair of 540's. Is there a down side to doing this? I have seen a couple of conversions and have not been very impressed. If I do it I want to do it right. Also Will I now need to add more weight up front to get rid of that real peaky wake?

Nobody says you have to fill them all of the way if you upgrade to the bigger sacs.

Yes, you need some weight up front as stated.

You should make whoever broke the tanks replace them with sacs! I think the large sacs would be overkill. but hey, go for it if you want. I have those fittings if you want to throw the hard tanks back in.
