VLX sun pad bungy cord netting

Recommended Posts

Sorry but I don't know what its called but the bungy cord netting holder came undone and I had the dealer fix it....its now connected but the backing keeps falling off when the pad is closed.

Does anyone have a good idea on what to use in the plugs to make it hold?

I have the same problem. I haven't fixed it, but planned on stapling it, looping it over, and stapling it again. I'm interested in everyone else's ideas.

I pulled the trim off the door and filled the holes with Gorilla glue. Then closed the lid on a 2"x 4" to put pressure directly on the bungie trim over night. No more problems.

Mine came off too. Had the dealer fix it.

I only used it a few times to keep our gloves in. But the velcro was pulling at the carpet and making it look like crap, so I stopped. The bungie seemed to have pulled itself out. I only used it 2-3 times.

I haven't used it since, and it hasn't come out.

Was yours the netting under the storage doors on the back by the motor?

mine pulled out the second time we went out and we have never even used it. Mad.gif

Damn, obviously there's a problem with the way these are being installed. We need a solution from Malibu. Mine also pulled out very easy under the rear storage compartment. Looks like hell now hanging down, in a boat this expensive.

Obviously not a huge deal, but still...

Both sides have come loose on mine. One was fixed before delivery. The other is being fixed now at the 10 hour.

BigD... How did you pull the trim piece off? I'm interested in fixin' mine myself.

The trim is attached with a nylon plug I don't know the proper terminology but it's a standard automotive fastener. if you pull on the trim in the corner it should pop loose. I just filled the hole with glue and put it back together.

Thanks BigD. I take it there is no way that thing will come off.

I have to say we never used it and it came loose on its own 1/2 way thru last summer. The dealer fixed it by stapling the crap out it.

One of mine is in the spare bedroom and the otherone was screwed into place by the dealer. SS screw will secure it.
