Fluid change

Recommended Posts

I bought the fluids to change my V-drive and transmission fluids.

What is the best way to remove the fluid from the V-drive unit and the transmission.

I no on my response I sucked the trans. fluid out, is it the same on a V-drive.

Same, suck it out thru dip stick. The fill is located by taking off breather cap on top bow side of v drive, its that round part attached to the elbow.

Manual also recommends cleaning out the oil strainer by wiping off. Its attached at bottom to the oil line.

I used a vacuum brake bleeder to suck my fluid out. The bleeder came with a graduated container so I could measure how much I took out and replace with the same amount.
