My 93 Eschelon has 2 sending units in the T-stat housing. I'm pretty sure the one with the brown wire is for the guage.

Could some tell me what the other is for?

Also are they replacable with a normal automove unit?

The other one is for sending signal to your computer. This is the one that will send your boat into "limp" mode should it ever overheat. Not too sure though if you can cross them to automotive style.
