Holding speed w/ Pwr Wedge

I have a 2007 wakesetter 23 lsv w/ 340 monsoon. When using the pwr wedge (1/2 up or at the most displacement) with ballast or not the boat can not activate the cruise. Feels like I have to give it full throttle then it blows way past the speed I have set, and doesn't slow down. I have tried getting up to speed, letting the cruise take over, then moving wedge up, and I have to mash the throttle and the previous scenario happens. Almost feels like the 1/2 up position is set too high and it just drags the boat. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like your front and center ballast may not be full, are you getting up on plane ok?

also try to put the wedge all the way down then once the speed control kicks in then put the wedge up some for your choice of wake size. when i have lots of people and the ballast full i do that. because all the way down is only 400lbs and the top notch is 1200lbs.

getting on plane ok, just seems like the cruise cannot engage for some reason. I have been reading the forums on the malibu cruise and it sounds like I may not be waiting long enough for the cruise to slow the boat down. I will try that today and see what happens. Also, I was not filling the front ballast, thinking the wake might be a little steeper, I traded in a SAN 210 for the LSV, but I will fill it too and see if that helps. Thanks for the advise.

Sounds like you may have the wedge too far up Dontknow.gif I checked my wedge with the gauge in our garage so I know about where it's at when I look at the gauge and adjust to the best wake. But I know when it's up too far and I don't go to that point anymore, it only happened once :( boat barely wants to move, your just dragging it.
