We're looking for a bigger house, and I'm wondering if anyone has a VLX with a Swoop tower that is kept in a garage with a 7' tall opening.I keep my boat in the driveway currently(during summer),but I want to garage it in our next house.I know 7' doesn't give me a whole lot of room to back in.Any input is appreciated.

Mine doesn't work Cry.gif I have a VLX also with a swoop tower and I just take it off after I'm done with the boat. It only takes two people and about 3 minutes of your time. Good luck with selecting the right tower

Get a new house with a side yard large enough to store the boat and build a cover. Very unlikly you'll fit the boat in a 7' garage... and then where would you park your cars anyway? Dontknow.gif

D-goose has a swoop tower on his '03 VLX and he is able to put it in a standard 7' garage. Maybe send him a PM to see what differences maybe between your two rigs.

Does your Swoop have the "low profile" feature? Mine does and I am able to get my SSLXI under a 7' door.

We had a Low Pro style Swoop Tower so it would fit in our 7ft. opening . I would think you can get someone to cut and weld it just like ours was for not too much $$$

maybe if you use a floor jack and drop the tongue as far down as you can you might get the few inches you need.

I use to remove my tower to fit in the garage,it was a pain but my Wife and I could remove it in a few minutes.

New house has an 3 car tandem with an 8' tall door and RV parking, my two requirements that I was allowed before I bought a new home, the Wife picked everything else.
