Ski boot angle adjustment

A couple of years ago I read in a magazine that some skiers put their back boot on a slight angle. I did that for a while and it seemed to be the right thing to do. This year I noticed my boot it pretty much straight again. Now I forget which way to angle the back boot. Both seem reasonable. My guess is the back boot for a right foot skier should point to the left. I wonder if anyone knows for sure. Chris

I try to keep the rear heel in the center of the ski and move the toes to the edge. Moving the heel to the side will give you much more leverage against the ski on the "On side" cut - but take away from how much leverage you put on the ski on your "off side" - opposite of what most would want to happen.
