Wakesetter 23 LSV '06 - Idle RPM Suddenly Higher Today

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a sense for the appropriate idle rpm for the '06 Waksetter 23 LSV? It seems higher today. I noticed when the transmission seemed to clunk" when I went from forward - to - nuetral and then to reverse. Should the idle RPM hover aorund 885 RPM or should it be less? What would cause the idle speed to change overnight?

Do you notice any difference when you shift into foward or reverse? I would think that it would hit a bit harder when you shift, but does it stay at the rpm when you shift into gear? Mine did that one time and went back to about 600rpm and has stayed there ever since.

mine is around 650-690. It seems kind high to me.

Thanks for the feedback. When I pull the throttle release button to disengage the shift and then rev the engine the RPM's temporarily drop back to 690 or so. I will mention this the next time I have it into the shop.

Thanks Tony. It maintains it's unusually high RPM even in gear. It is a random occurrence though. I will have the shop look at it next time it is in for service.
