Repair to bungee/netting in walkthrough

Recommended Posts

Yesterday my 9 year old accidentally grabbed the netting on one side of the walkthrough (2001 Sunscape) and broke the bungee cord that holds the netting up. Has anyone had experience repairing this? I assume that you have to take the whole panel off, but the way to do that doesn't really jump out at me.

Yeah, I had a similar problem on my boat several years ago. The panel is held in with clips that mushroom out once through a hole in the fiberglass. The whole panel pops off and the netting is stapled into the backside of the panel. If you have a good dealer, you may want to get them to do it simply because they have the right staple gun. The job isn't hard or time-consuming, but the right tools are everything (like many jobs).

Thanks. Just to clarify, the panel comes off from the outside? In other words, there's no nuts or fasteners to take off on the inside of the console?
