Water Cooled Driveshaft

When I hook up my factory installed flush kit on the transom, and run the engine, I noticed that there is a steady stream of water flowing out of the boat, where the drive shaft meets the hull. Is this normal?? I have just never noticed it before.

makes sense to me...the water that cools the shaft has to go somewhere.

i have a 07 vlx with the water cooled shaft wear and water comes out of it when i flush it out. the same way you described.

Yours is passive, his is active. The cooling that is, not your driveshaft.
