If you have an open bow.... here's some customizing you can do with the PVC pipe. To get the "V" angle AND the extra height, you simply use 2 of the 45 degree angle corners and twist to get the angle you want/need.

In my version, I actually have two sections of pvc go over the windshield as well. (I don't tie in to the pylon)
