      The Flying Pig?

      Yup, that was her!

Such adventures we had together ☺

    • I don't have the measurements you're looking for, but can tell you there is a lot going on under the gunwales.  At least it is true for our 2000 LSV, and I suspect for your VLX also  Basically, you'll find pvc pipe glassed-in on the underside of the gunwale, for carrying wires, etc...  As a result, installing tower mounts in this already tight, congested area is a challenge.  We used a dremel type tool to cut and grind the pvc tube out of the area for the tower mount.  A great deal of caution is needed to avoid damaging the wiring, especially on the starboard side where most of the wiring is carried.  It's a tight, awkward, uncomfortable position to work in, but do-able.  We benefitted greatly from other posts found on this site before taking on the project.

On the other hand, there was plenty of room to work with for the tower mounts in front of the windshield.  Hopefully you'll find the same with your VLX.

      Best of luck.

    • I have over 20 brochures from years 2002 through 2022. The list in the pic shows what years I have. Thought some may like one to match their model year boat. If anyone is interested in one please DM me and we can figure out a price to get it to you. The list shows what years, and if it has a (H) by it , it's a hard copy. Most are in great condition.image.png.c8414b3b88f36bc64eeea1f75e9a288f.pngimage.png.64b4829be9c6e5e80bd7f543e2e6e681.png

This boat is new to me, and I am looking to upgrade from the 17" OJ1778 and have a spare. Wakemakers recommends the ACME 3311 for General Use and 3513 for Low Speed performance at Altitude 3k-6k. We Surf heavily loaded and cruise around Lake Powell most of the time going 90 minutes up lake. The LT4 is a beast and I wonder if I need the low speed performance or if the General Use is going to be plenty since I have the LT4? Anyone have experience with both of these props? Any recommendations?

Check if you have at least 1.5” of clearance and go to an 18” prop . The lt4 can handle a 18x16 .120 cup at 6100’ on a t250 with 12 people . Surfs low rpm and will top over 50 if you’re crazy
