I purchased this boat several years ago and was an enthusiastic wakeboarder and Malibu fan. I have serviced/maintained the boat to the exact requirements from the Malibu manual. It has been extremely reliable due to the maintenance I perform annually. The reason I'm selling is that my kids have grown up and are no longer interested in boating. I have hurt my back the last couple of years due to being 50 and still trying to perform tantrums. My body can't take the abuse anymore. As such I have put 12 hours on the boat in the last two years. I have just pulled the boat out of storage and am in the process of getting it ready to use and sell. There are two items I want to do before I sell it. Those being a carpet trim needs to be installed as I put new carpet in it last year and not quite finished a trim piece. Also, its running slightly rich. I know the carb choke linkage needs adjusting, which I have done but have not run the boat yet. I am the kind of person that would not sell any item unless I was 100% happy with the performance. That said, I am in no hurry to sell the boat as I will use it for non wake boarding purposes and it gives me time to finish the carpet and tune the carb. However if you are interested, it is very hard to find a Malibu that is worth having at this price range. The 1994 Echelon uses the hull that put Malibu on the map. It also was the first year or so that used fibre runners rather than wood (no rotting). I live in Minnesota and would be happy to travel with the boat but the details would need to be discussed. Even though the boat will not be ready to sell until early June I thought I'd give the crew first opportunity as I was a full member of the crew for a few years and enjoyed the camaraderie, support and enthusiasm for Malibu's.
I have not decided on a price yet and have researched what the market value is but I expect to advertise the boat for around $12K and will consider offers. Also remember that everything looks prestine in photos, this is a 1994 boat and has the fun marks that testify to that. I will post more photos and videos as I add to the listing, but I wanted to get this post up now for the start of the season (in Minnesota at least).
