    • Boat storage is huge cashflow. Hundreds if not thousands of boats for a few hundred dollars a month. Tommys has also established such a large cliental they can continue to service and store customers boats without selling a new  malibu and still be successful.

    • Hi Everyone - new to the wakeboat world and wanted to get into it while my kids are still around. Found a 2013 Wakesetter 21 VLX with about 400 hours on it. Looks like it's barely been used, interior and exterior wise and was professionally winterized and summerized? by the local marina every year - didn't even hit the lake last year.  I read about the screens and the surf gate actuators on a different post as well as a different propeller, but is this a good entry level boat? It's in that $60k price range.

Anything else you guys can tell me about this year and model is all new learning for me!

I have been getting emails from my Tommy's dealer about their "Spring showcase" this weekend.  I received a text yesterday and looks like they are continuing with business as usual, or at least perceiving to be as normal.  Here is the text I received last night.

Greetings from Tommy's Grand Rapids! Come join us this Saturday the 27th 10am-2pm for drinks, snacks and games. We'll have amazing discounts on all models of boats in stock & pro shop gear will be up to 50% off (see our Facebook page for more details). We'll be giving tours of our brand new massive indoor storage facility, if you take the 3 mile ride over there with us we'll have an additional coupon you can use back at the pro shop for even bigger savings! See you Saturday! Txt STOP to unsub.

I don't want to read between any lines, but this sounds optimistic at least. Versus news that could be worse.

    • Follow up from original post, boat is out of storage April 2024.  Dealer looked at heater and found 2 hoses that were kinked.  Seems like others reported the same cause.  Hopefully that solves the low temp heater issue.

That is funny you mentioned that.  That crossed my mind.  I also found it odd they are wanting to show off their storage facility with so much pride.  They are one of the Tommy's with a new building and now a massive storage facility.  Lots of debt going on there.

Storage facility will still be a cash cow for the future - even if they don't sell boats anymore.
