I just bouht a 2006 247 LVS with the Indmar 8.1L. Sounds like you indicate the Big Blocks are not impacted, which I would assume 8.1L would fall into that. Any confirmation on that statement tho? My first time out I heard some knocking, and was told that it might be the Damper Plat. So for I'm chocking the knocking up to using 85 octane fuel at 5500 ft elevation. I will be siphoning that out and only using 91 octane in the future.

Greetings from Tommy's Grand Rapids! Come join us this Saturday the 27th 10am-2pm for drinks, snacks and games. We'll have amazing discounts on all models of boats in stock & pro shop gear will be up to 50% off (see our Facebook page for more details). We'll be giving tours of our brand new massive indoor storage facility, if you take the 3 mile ride over there with us we'll have an additional coupon you can use back at the pro shop for even bigger savings! See you Saturday! Txt STOP to unsub.
How well do you trust them to join them on this 3 mile ride?! Will you come back?? HAHA

So, got the seats redone and back. Don’t have the boat yet. We go get it on May 4th. Seats look good. Better than they were that’s for sure. He had to replace a bunch of foam so of course the price was a bit higher.
I thought the corners could have been a bit straighter. Or curved better. Those will work themselves out with use I’m sure.
Don’t get me wrong. Not complaining in anyway. We are redoing the whole interior later on so it will all be different anyway.

They say you can go 15 mph with it setup on the back and 5 mph setup on the front. The poles are flexing pretty good as I have it setup, I don't plan to go over their recommendations.

@NorCalSurfer thanks for the pics! I have mine sitting in a box and will install down at the lake this weekend when I splash the boat. I like the front mount idea as an option, I will play around with it and see what works best for us - love the fact that there are no vertical poles and the headroom/clearance is so high up. Perfect!
