My 2003 does this too in the driveway which slopes downward towards my house. The stern facing southward which intensifies the affect of the sun and heat. I try to never have more than half a tank of gas while it sits in my driveway pre and post boatlift install. Installing one of these helped some:

Ignore the manual, it’s wrong. Press once to fill, press again to drain, press again to turn off pump(s). No way to see how full the hard tanks are. Once PnP bags in rear lockers start filling, hard tanks are full.Edited by formerathlete
I am afraid to suggest it,, but I wonder if the engine ECM is dying?
