Do you happen to have a link to the guy who bought it? Just wondering

I can't find the thread, but as you can see there are deals out there to be had. And you couldn't have a better group of people to help you spend money! The Crew will do just about all the work for you, just MAKE SURE TO POST PICS when you buy!

Let's make this real simple. Forget about adding up options and comparing. Forget about trade in. The only thing you need to look at is the percentage off of MSRP or "sticker price". Good deals start at 20% off and go from there. There are usually factory incentives this time of year. If so, subtract that AFTER you negotiate the discount percentage. Finally, when all is said and done negotiate how much they will pay you for your trade in.

I was able to get about 25% or so off the MSRP. I was also able to get the Malibu year end rebate, which was another $2500 off. I then used that to add some options that I originally omitted. I also tried to do as much homework ahead of time on the web to bring in some comp prices. My dealer seemed pretty fair all things considered. Where I boat in PA most of the on lake dealers/marinas have incentives to be fair as many boaters dock their boats at the marinas for the season as well as store them off season. That revenue is really how these dealers stay afloat and I believe that helps a bit with getting fairer deals.

We are looking at a new 2015 22 VLX with 4 hours on it and I'm wondering what kind of deal we are getting. The boat has a few options like bimini, plug n play, wake view seating, and the subwoofer and the MSRP is around $111,585. With boat show discounts the subtotal comes to $96k and the total after taxes is $105k. We are trading in our current boat so the ending total that's quoted is right around $94k. We're new to the whole Malibu community and I would like some opinions on the price we are getting. I have seen some of these online go for around $10k cheaper with many more options on sites like boatrader so I'm just a little bit curious. I do feel like at this price the boat should at least have tower speakers?? Excited to finally drive one on Wednesday!

Thanks

EDIT: I'm in Seattle if that helps at all

If you're looking at holdovers, why not lookout of market?

I bought a 2015 VLX leftover in Central Texas for mid $70s in November. It worked out to 33% off MSRP before the boat show. Malibu was offering rebates that ended in December, but I still think our dealer is in the $70s on 2015 leftovers they have.

@ the Houston Boat Show they had a 2015 VLX - MSRP $122,297 for $82,998. 2016 M235 - MSRP $225,686 for $174,998

How loaded was that VLX? I would think $123k MSRP on a VLX would be pretty heavily optioned... The one at the MKE boat show was around $113k MSRP. I feel the MSRP's are always a little higher stated at boatshows to try and get a "wow" factor on the "Boat Show Special" price. Just my .02
