Has anyone used this prop? it's a 15 x 12 with a .075 cup I'm going test it on my 22MXZ. I have been running a 1235 and looking for a better hole shot.

I have this prop on my axis t22. It pulls hard out of the hole. I have the monsoon 330 motor with 3000 lbs of ballast and the wedge down it has no problem getting on plane. Top speed is 37 mph @ 5400 rpm.

I use it on my A24 with L96. It will plane out 5550lbs with wedge down at 600' above sea level. Surfs same weight at 3100rpms

I also have the 2419 on my Axis A20 with the 350SS. Could not get the boat to plane with the 1235 and all ballast full with wedge down. Now it jumps right out. Top speed is like 37mph.

I know this is an older thread. I just changed from 1235 to 2419....Holy Crap! This thing is awesome. With no ballast i now have very close to jet boat acceleration from 0-30. But loaded is where this prop shines. The hole shot is much better; like night and day better. The 1235 would not plane with 5000 lbs of ballast. The 2419 yep, and in a reasonable time. Surfing both props work, but the 2419 does not struggle near as hard and you get to 12 mph much sooner. ..One last note I only lost 3 mph of top end I went from 46 to 43.... Not that I drive anywhere close to that speed anyway so for me this is irrelevant.

I doubt you are getting 43 out of that prop in a 24 MXZ. What is it on GPS?

5900 on the LS3

Paddles, however if the paddle is incorrect ten I wasn't getting 46 either. In either case the difference is 3 mph. Only losing 3 mph is outstandingly.

I have been playing with extra ballast on my 2014 23LSV with the 2419 'torque prop'. It came with the thing from the factory and I have never owned an LSV before so I have no compare to the 1235 etc. The boat has the standard 350 Monsoon.

I can say I am a bit disappointed and have bigger-engine-envy. With all 4 standard tanks full, 2 x Sumo 600s in the lockers, 1 x 400 on the floor in the middle, wedge down, surfgate setup and a few people, flat out the boat just gets to 10.4 To be fair it gets there perfectly quickly enough but I want to see what the shape looks like above that speed and its not an option.

I'll try faster speed and without the extra ballast. Just sayin.

A couple of things to check. First, make sure the auto wedge function is engaged in settings. Are you using the preset on the maliview? If not, the auto wedge is probably not working even if engaged. Second, with that much rear bias with ballast, you need at least 600 - 800 lbs in the bow. With the bow riding that high, your thrust is being wasted keeping the nose pointed up instead of moving the boat forward. Think of the angle of the prop when the bow is high.

Move that 400 off the floor to the bow, that will help you out. What elevation are you at?

Interesting, so the '14 LSV with 350 weighing 4500lbs dry with wedge down, approx 2850lbs of ballast, 3-4 adults, and 2419 prop cannot get past 10.4mph at 1000' elevation? My Axis A24 (I know not the exact same hull) with L96 motor (steel block vs aluminum) weighs 4500lbs dry, wedge down (no auto wedge to help), 3650lbs ballast (hard tanks and PnP...no external sacks), 8 adults (all sitting in cabin area) at 700' elevation with 2419 prop can plane out to wakeboard speeds and beyond. I know the L96 has a higher rpm range but first you got to get up on plane and accelerate some. Makes you wonder about the torque curve between the 350 and L96 for those who haven't owned both and are just on the torque curve spec sheet bandwagon.

Seems off. In our test drive of a 14 lsv with 350 and a 1234 prop, full stock ballast, 1100's in rear (as full as we could get them) and 750 on floor in walk through, plus wedge, we had no issues getting over 12mph. 3 adults. 700' elevation. We needed more weight in bow because wave was steep. Edited by augie09

L96 motor (steel block vs aluminum)

L96 should have a steel block, along with aluminum L92 heads and composite intake. GEN-1 SBC 350 in your LSV should be an iron block, iron head and aluminum intake manifold. So the difference in weight is less than you initially thought.

EDIT: I replied to the wrong thread. I have a new 2419 on the boat and will be trying it out with the Monsoon 340 this summer. It's a 2005 VLX (same hull 2005-2009). I plan on 3500+ pounds surf ballast with a wedge and wake shaper.

If you have the 2419 and want a but more top end call ACME, their price to add cup to this prop is extremely small, they want you to be happy with your prop!

I have the 2419 on my 22 MXZ...it's too much bottom end for me. I'm thinking about selling it or keeping it for a spare. I've decided on a OJ 948. Any advice/experience is welcome

Btw I have the LS3

The guys at ACME can cup it more aggressively for a very reasonable cost. Which will give it a slightly better top end and turn it into a 2313. I stopped by their booth at the boatshow this week. Very friendly people. Call Jim Thelen at 888.664.2263 or 231.796.2874

This thread suggests that the 1873 may be the prop to have:

I also don't want to put words in their mouth on cost for re cupping but for a drive in it was well under 100 bucks.
