I am just seeing this now also. How nice it would be to just select music off phone while its in the holder and not running a cord out of the glovebox not easily accessible and looks tacky having wire running out of glove box. What were they thinking...?

Understood. But to my ear at least sound quality was noticeably improved with the USB port vs. Bluetooth.

Then why make it the most accessible USB port in the boat? Makes them sound "more stupider".
