Center ballast drain fuse keeps blowing

Hello

our center ballast drain fuse keeps blowing.  we aren't able to empty it.  the pump is still working as it starts for a minute then the fuse blows again.  any ideas what might be causing the fuse to keep blowing?

thanks

Sounds like a lot of resistance in the wiring. Check the connections on the pump. If that isn't it, you might have a bad pump motor starting to go.

Agreed with the above, pull the pump from the housing and checking it out. Since you've got it out I would just replace the pump and that should fix you problem. they often get bound up and will work fine if you clean them up but I've always had them go bad again which is why I suggest replacing it.
