Eclipse Amp Speaker Connection

I moved my subwoofer this last weekend and found myself a bit stumped when I went to hook up the speaker wires to the amp. The amp simply has holes for the + and - wire connections (front face and bottom edge). It's implied you poke the wires into the holes but I don't see any way to clamp/anchor the wires. There's no mechanism or screw to clamp the wires in place and I don't see an obvious place to remove a panel. The old speaker wires were solidly in place and very difficult to remove. Has anyone seen a, perthe manual 'flush mount speaker connector" setup before?

The clamp screws for the power, ground, remote (on/off), and speaker wire are under the cover plate held down with 2 allen head screws. All the connections are philips head screws under the cover plate.

Oops, I just re-read this and it's for an Eclipse amp and not a Rockford Fosgate amp. I just took the R/F amps out of my boat to do some work so I them "on the brain". I agree with the previous suggestion to google the model number for a manual, it should reveal all the details you need.

Unfortunately the manual is worthless! It references nothing on the actual physical connection of the speaker. So that tells me it's probably so stupid simple I'm missing something obvious. I did stare at it for a good 10 minutes but it didn't come to me. I'll go stare at it again this week. Hopefully with a better result. Thanks!

You said it was difficult to disconnect. How did you accomplish that?

Eclipse has only had two or three types of connections over the years and none were terribly confusing that I remember running into as a former dealer. The black amps had these which you put the wire in the side and tighten the clamp screw on top :

And most of the silver amps had external screw blocks that are pretty self explanatory.
