Hi

we have covered our transom with 3M venture sheild (that's what it's called in the U.K.) which as a plastic film for protecting race cars from stone chips. Goolged it and found this link :- http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/3M-Automotive/Aftermarket/Our-Brands/Scotchgard-Pro-Series/?MDR=true

U.K. Link http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Product.do?method=view&n=1250&g=250065&p=147633&d=124&c=4&l=2&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Base&utm_campaign=Tapes & Adhesives&gclid=Cj0KEQjwi7vIBRDpo9W8y7Ct6ZcBEiQA1CwV2HUisjcsiezMz9-x0wInYArdqN-FtB2m1r-FBlELXOAaAhbP8P8HAQ

we have had it on for most of last season, and not only can you not see it, when's it's in place, but it totally protects the transom from board edges etc. too.

Same stuff I use for frame protection on my mountain bikes. Awesome stuff. Amazon link for those in the US.

3M Scotchgard Clear Paint Protection Bulk Film Roll 6-by-48-inches https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004VG88MQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Tv-dzb87V2JY1

I just installed a 3.5" strip of GatorStep back there on my 25lsv. Will grab some pics.

Been thinking about that... As long as it holds up in marine environment, and doesnt yellow (which the auto stuff doesnt any more) could be a good solution.   Gatorstep also a good option.  I have it on my list to order gator step for the deck and bow, but havent pulled trigger yet

My Boat sticks out from the dock and bakes in the sun much of the day.

I have a metallic yellow and concerned the color will fade and the mat on the swim platform is already separating around the edges.

Crazy expensive but so are the boats:

My cover already extends over platform and i dont like that removable transom protector, im thinking of something simple like Gator Grip in whatever color you want just peel and stick, looks nice and keeps the scratches off the gel coat..is that what we are talking about ordering or that removable one in the picture that says Malibu crew?

so has anyone found a peel and stick foam/rubber type material that is say 4" X 60" or similar that can be cut and put where the Malibu logo is on the transom to protect it from kicking..i recently removed all the old truibal graphics and buffed and waxed my boat and now want a black rubber foam piece to peel and stick there to protect it..

i cant seem to find any that fit that profile.. all i see is the removable ones or the shorter step pieces or pieces for the swim platform..

What are people doing with like the 2014 axis boats? The stupid gates are in the way and you end up scratching the piss outta the platform every time you strap up.

Intreating concept, I have a Evolution Cover and one of the first Cory made for 2011 that he had a "skirt" that buttons to the back and cover the transom.  I like this concept even better!
