Skurfer, not sure if it was a power tower or not - I was out of time as the show was closing, so I didn't have time to chat with the sales guys. Just peeked inside them and checked the options/price sheet.

In the old day's when I had good tools and a place to do it, I'd just replace the block and heads. I'd re-use the crank, cam, rod's, new pistons, rings, bearings, re-use oil pump, pan, distrib. and all exterior parts. I used to work at Summit Racing and have rebuilt ohhhhh soooo many engines. Still live nearby, and visit often.

+1 for the template if you can get your hands on it. That looks like it came out great. I've been pondering how and where to mount an aftermarket depth sounder and your solution looks like the best bet.
