Got a list of current people that are going?

I go to Corey every Saturday so I'll be there and will take a day or two off during the week.

Lake Corey

Changing gears and back to the Chain of Lakes ... in IL, is that real close to Chicago? Thanks

fox lake, IL

This takes you to part of the chain

I live in the city of Chicago on the NW side and It takes me an hour to get to the northern tip of the chain-o-lakes. It's really not that far. I have a park model home on Lake Catherine and I'm there every weekend. We ride up till about 10 and then the boats start moving. Great places to hang out on there.

Do you know who else from here is going to be up at Corey Lake. I was looking over the survey and it looks like a pretty wicked lake.

Wicked good or Wicked bad? It does get busy but with 2 camps and a good bit of the lake undeveloped it isn't all that bad.

Going back, yes, it is guys only for our crew, 3 dads ages 32-40yrs and 4 boys ages 9 to 11. All boarders, hopefully my two will also barefoot. 7 people in that cottage will be tight, but there is a pull-out couch and we have air mattresses. With being all guys, it's just never been a big deal where we sleep. In fact that's always the least of the concerns. And we'll have wetsuits & be fired up to be on the water rain or shine, as long as there's no lightning. If there were even 1 girl involved...different story. So I hear ya.

Not sure on the roster, but from this thread we have:

Me plus 6
MalibuNation
CedarLakeSkier
onamission expressed a maybe
Olive was a maybe
fastjohhny was a maybe

Plus you perhaps too. So, could be a pretty good crowd, 7 boats and 25 people or so.

Thanks for the update. That sounds like a pretty good crew to do some boarding with. Since it's guys only let me see if I can get some people together for a guys thing. Might be a little bit tougher though. Hard to get the boys away from the wives and gf's. What men do for women :-)

Posted on the other thread, just thought I'd update this one. I cancelled that weekend cottage on Corey Lake, too much going on with work committments. I'm VERY bummed, but will likely have some last minute stuff come together. Ya never know.

Totally understand. I've been doing some research on Green Lake up in Wisconsin. I've heard some great things about it. Might try to put something together there this summer. Keep informed what is going on with your side.

Depending on the weekend, I would be willing to make the trip to Green Lake for an outing.

I posted up on a thread for people in WI to do Green lake. I would be willing to set something up for that lake if anyone is still interested. It's starting to warm up and I'm getting the itch for some water without ice !!!!!

Not that I know of, but it's a very large and beautiful lake without a lot of use. I just threw it out there because most other posters are talking about locations that are much further north. Our family has spent July 4th week there for many years.

Any thoughts to revisit trying something like this on the Chain this season? We're on a channel just off the Fox River and could be a lot of fun to get a group together for this event. :)
