Why can't I Fish

Hi my name is Nicholas. I am eight years old. My dad says we can't fish from our boat. He says skiboats are for skiing not fishing and that we don't own a tige. I like to ski, wakeboard and kneeboard but would like to fish. I also like to play soccer, baseball and basketball. I have two sisters and a brother that are all seven years old. He says if we want to fish he can drop us off at shore and will pick us up when we wave. Is it really bad luck to fish from a Malibu ski boat like my dad says? I put a picture of me wakeboarding. Thank you for your help.

Feedback Requested re. My 1990 Sunsetter For Sale

I recently put up a posting in the Classified Section of this website advertising my 1990 Malibu Sunsetter Euro F3 for sale. I would like some feedback from anyone who has experience owning and/or selling a very nice (I mean realllly very nice) classic Sunsetter about the content of my ad and the asking price for the boat. I'm especially interested in knowing if I have the boat priced right. Any input will be appreciated. The post was put up on 9/4/2010 and the topic reference is "1990 Malibu sunsetter Euro F3 - For Sale." Here's a link to the post (if this works). Thanks, Mike

1987 Malibu Skier - Parts Source Recommendation

I have a 1987 Malibu Skier and would appreciate it if any of you experts out there have a recommendation on where to buy the following:

1. Side molding (the two piece plastic channel, black) that runs around the perimeter of the boat. I have a 2' broken piece and I need to splice some in for repair.

2. Is it possible to buy bow light lens? Mine is cracked. . . or do I need to purchase an entire unite (after market) and replace the entire unit?

3. Malibu branded trailer guide on canvas covers. Mine measure ~3.5" in diameter and 36" long. I can stitch up a new pair, but if there is someone who sells these for a reasonable price, that would be better.

4. My horn button doesn't work (no continuity when pressed). Overtons, DIM? Or is there a better source for a marine push button, horn switch.

5. The blower on this boat is very noisy. My guess is that it is bearing squeal. I haven't taken it out to examine it, does anyone know if it is possible to oil the bearings / seals on the blower motor, or is it more of a completely sealed (read: go buy another one) type of deal.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ok crew...I have the tower lights mounted on my illusion and i have relays for the lights. If I wire the lights direct...not problem they work. When I put them on a relay...no power. I have seen a relay diagram and follow it and still no power. There is also like a little jump wire with this metcraft kit. Anybody know where to connect this to?? Help!!

Looking for tower light dome cap for illusion X

The light on top of my tower on my 07 LSV seems broken. I think the plastic tabs on the dome cap itself are broken and it is causing the light to work intermittantly and the breaker to throw. My dealer does not have any because Metcraft is out of business I guess. Does anyone on here know where I might find one.
Thanks

It was a good year

Well I have to say that for a lot of years I never thought that I could Slalom ski. Spent a lot of time driving and enjoying that aspect of the sport. Bought a Ski Sky and did that a number of times in the summer. Well last year at the age of 44 I thought I would try the sport. Now you have to imagine me at 6'5" 230#. Yes that is why I thought having never tried the sport that it would be to difficult. I have to say that once up I actually picked the sport up rather quick for a Big man. We ski on the Rock River in Wisconsin. Wow the skiing on the river is out of this world. On a rough day it is still really skiable. Anyway I would have to say that we would ski at least a couple times a week. Right now I would say I am addicted to the sport. Last year I took a fall over the front which I hope never to do again and broke a couple of ribs. You only have to do that once before you figure out that a fall over the front is the wrong way. I hope to ski the Badger State games when I turn 50. I guess life is about experiences and you never know what you can do unless you take a chance. My girls are really good at the sport so we will take their friends out and teach them. I think that is also a very fun thing to do to give the kids an opportunity to do things that I never had. Most important is that fact that I have my first Malibu, a RLxi 04. The wake is out of this world to ski on. I have skied behind other boats and nothing compares.

Oh well enough of my rambling I hope everybody enjoys there Holiday weekend.
