| My trailer is a 2005 completely stock tandem axle extreme trailer that carries my 2005 VLX. This article depicts the measurements that I obtained from repositioning the torsion axle spindles; yours may be different. One spline will equal between 1/2" to 5/8”. I have not towed the trailer yet to see if it will settle, so it may end up being a little lower yet. I originally had 3” of clearance between my tire tread and fender. After this mod, I now have 1.5” clearance which I still I believe to be plenty of room for wheel travel.
