At that moment I was beyond frustrated, I own a Corvette salvage yard and we have installed LS engines in everything you can imagine. I always wanted to drop one in my 88 Skier but it cost so much I never did it. Well after this used motor I wasn’t about to buy another one used. New rebuilt vs the money to LS swap was really close considering I had 5 LS1’s sitting on the shelf.

Forgot to add, this comment elicited memories of my high school / college days combing through salvage yards for various goodies, lifting the hood on something and having to run for your life being chased by a nest of bees, teetering on the fender of a car pulling some part ... fun times.

    • Upgrading to 3rd party injection systems looks attractive in some cases of these boats. Thanks in advance for follow-up on your install and programming, etc.

Traded a 2019 23 for a leftover 2022 M220.  The freeboard and weight along with the higher quality cabin materials sold us. I can not comment on the surf wave as I haven’t yet been behind the M220. I will say that I am a bigger guy, 245 lbs, and the wave on the 23 LSV had plenty of push for me, even on a skim style board.

Won’t get to actually drive and surf the M220 until late May here in the Midwest, so my impressions may be too late to help you.

Surfed a brand new M220 in Miami with Miami Wake Academy back in February and regarding the surf wave, I'd describe surf-left is as big a wave as surf-right on a 23 LSV, and surf-right on the M220 is as proportionally larger as the normal difference between surf-left and surf-right.  Hopefully that doesn't sound as dumb as it did typing it out.  That's comparing to a slightly older 23 LSV (2018) that I ride in our crew.

It usually takes me a min to get my bearings on the 23 LSV wave, but I was tossing rope almost immediately out of the water with the M220, and that's after not surfing at all Oct-Feb.  For reference, I'm about 250lbs as well.

    • Man.... drool... and you have the nice Marine Torq manifolds as well.  I dream of purchasing a set one day but I still can't justify the $$

On a side note, prices are all over the place. I've seen some new 2023's for less than people want for a used 2020.

A lot of idiots think because they bought high during COVID that their boat is still worth that.  They are having trouble accepting reality post-COVID.  Came across a lot of the same last year shopping for mine.
